The Beautiful Beaches Of Jamaica

Tropical Paradise - White Sand Beach and Ocean BackgroundJamaica is one of the larger islands in the Caribbean which allows it to boast hundreds of miles of beautiful coastline views. It is here you will find some of the most incredible beaches that the Caribbean has to offer. Most of the beaches are privately owned, especially by the major resorts on the island. But, there are plenty of public beaches to enjoy as well.

Turtle Beach in Ocho Rios seems to be the most popular beach in Jamaica. It is a crescent shaped beach surrounded by hotels and resorts and tends to be pretty crowded at times due to it’s popularity. For a little less crowded atmosphere, you can try Island Village Beach or the Reggae Beach, located just a few miles from town.

The longest beach in Jamaica is Seven Mile Beach. It is also referred to as Negril Beach. This is one of the most pristine beaches on the island with crystal clear water and picture perfect white sand. Again, being one of the finest and most popular beaches in the area, this beach can definitely attract the crowds. For a little more seclusion on this part of the island, you can check out Bloody Bay Beach, which is a great beach location to simply relax and enjoy the calm atmosphere.

Regardless of where you stay in Jamaica on your next vacation, you will always have nearby access to one or more of Jamaica’s incredible beaches. You can also take a cab or rent scooters for the day to venture off to a few different beaches away from your resort.

Jamaica’s Hot Spots For The Nightlife

As Jamaica continues to develop into a major tourist destination, it would be a sin to travel there and not enjoy their nightlife. The options for entertainment in Jamaica are almost endless.

One hot spot in Jamaica that is well known for it exciting nightlife is Silks Disco, located in Ocho Rios, inside the Shaw Park Beach Hotel. It is somewhat of a smaller venue, but it is normally packed full of action. The small admission fee (around $35 USD) includes all of your drinks for the evening, which tends to loosen everyone up for the night.

Another great place you can check out is Ocean’s 11, which is also located in Ocho Rios. This is a great little Jamaican bar that usually hosts live bands for their nightly entertainment. This is a great place to take in the Jamaican culture with island style drinks and music all night long.

A trip to Jamiaca just wouldn’t be the same without a beach party and some live Reggae music. Luckily, we found Roots Bamboo in Negril, which is a hotel offering cottage style rooms and camping all along the beach. This is far from a 5-Star resort, but offer affordable lodging and camping and better yet, the have live reggae music at night, right on the beach. This place is highly recommended by all the locals and and all the Spring Breakers that come here year after year.

So there you have a few of the local Jamaica hotspots for you to check out on your next trip to Jamaica. Enjoy the reggae music and a few island drinks and let your worries slip away.
