Jamaica is one of the larger islands in the Caribbean which allows it to boast hundreds of miles of beautiful coastline views. It is here you will find some of the most incredible beaches that the Caribbean has to offer. Most of the beaches are privately owned, especially by the major resorts on the island. But, there are plenty of public beaches to enjoy as well.
Turtle Beach in Ocho Rios seems to be the most popular beach in Jamaica. It is a crescent shaped beach surrounded by hotels and resorts and tends to be pretty crowded at times due to it’s popularity. For a little less crowded atmosphere, you can try Island Village Beach or the Reggae Beach, located just a few miles from town.
The longest beach in Jamaica is Seven Mile Beach. It is also referred to as Negril Beach. This is one of the most pristine beaches on the island with crystal clear water and picture perfect white sand. Again, being one of the finest and most popular beaches in the area, this beach can definitely attract the crowds. For a little more seclusion on this part of the island, you can check out Bloody Bay Beach, which is a great beach location to simply relax and enjoy the calm atmosphere.
Regardless of where you stay in Jamaica on your next vacation, you will always have nearby access to one or more of Jamaica’s incredible beaches. You can also take a cab or rent scooters for the day to venture off to a few different beaches away from your resort.
